A trip to West Dorset wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the wonderful Bridport Yarn, where some small purchases were made (more about this in a later post)!

Goodbye Dorset, we’ll visit you again soon!

If you’re interested in making your own pebble cosies, there is a great tutorial here.  Alternatively you can just crochet your own motif, measure it against the pebble to ensure that it is roughly the same size using increases to adjust the fit, place the pebble inside, then decrease in, gathering the cosy around your pebble.

Happy Holidays! x

Lovely post – can you tell me what the pattern is you are doing in the morning coffee shot and what is the wool? Thanks.

Hello, thank you! The wool is Rowan Alpaca Chunky. The pattern is Elton Fingerless Mittens by Lisa Richardson from the new Rowan Warm & Toasty collection. You might also be able to see the matching Jester Snood in the photo, also from Warm & Toasty.

Dorset is a beautiful place. Inspiring too, for the creative mind with all the colours of the landscape 🙂 looking forward to hearing about your new additions 🙂

Thanks 🙂 its not too far from where we live so it was a bonus not to have to spend all day travelling to get there. Didn’t want to take our old dog too far this year… Would be nice to explore a bit more of East Dorset too. Poole, Swanage, Thomas Hardy Country… Didn’t have time this summer though, we’ll have to save it for another trip! X

I’m so glad your holiday worked out so well – that surely is an area I would love to visit!
Your scarf looks so soft and lovely and the pebbles so pretty in their new coats!

Thanks Joy, we were so lucky with the weather this holiday, only one very rainy day. Sunshine makes all the difference, although Dorset is always a lovely place to be 🙂 thanks for your kind comments about my scarf & pebble cosies – the cosies are quite addictive once you start making them! X

I love your photos Claire. And I love your post. Reminds me of when R and I holidayed in Dorset a couple of years ago and did a fabulous walk along the Jurassic Coast. Stunning!

Thank you Linda! Photos are nice to look back on aren’t they? Sounds like you had a lovely time yourself. The scenery is beautiful I think, whatever the weather! We went in February once & there was snow 🙂
